Heather is a partner with Public Strategies 360 and serves as the firm’s Compliance Officer. She served for seven years in the House of Representatives, including two years as Chief of Staff for Congressman Jack Kingston of Georgia. During her years in the Kingston office, she handled almost every legislative issue and developed a specialty in the federal budget and appropriations process. This diversity of experience has given her deep insight into the complex federal legislative process and expertise in a broad spectrum of policy issues from many perspectives.

Both on Capitol Hill and as a consultant in the private sector, Heather has worked directly with a wide variety of private and public entities as they presented their legislative and appropriations agendas to federal officials. She has hands-on expertise with trade associations, municipalities, hospitals, schools, military contractors, and private entities. More importantly, she understands the places where each of those diverse interests intersects with each other and the federal government.

Heather is adept at helping clients interface with coalitions, trade associations, and other industry groups. She is of the opinion that her clients make the most progress when they are playing well in the sandbox with others.

A native of south Georgia, Heather received her undergraduate degree from George Washington University and her law degree from the University of Georgia.
